Privacy policy
Last updated 6 October 2026
This policy covers Stratum Studio ("we") and the internal publishing software we use to run our own social media accounts, including Cooked Capital. Questions: will@stratumstudio.co.uk.
What our software does
It publishes videos we made to social media accounts we own, and reads the performance statistics of those posts (views, likes, comments counts, shares, saves and watch time) so we can learn what our audience finds useful. It does not sign in other people, does not post on anyone else's behalf and does not collect data about the people who watch our videos beyond the aggregated statistics the platforms show to every account owner.
Information we process
- Access tokens for our own Instagram, YouTube and TikTok accounts, issued by those platforms when we authorise our own app. They are stored on our own computer, in a private configuration file that is not shared or published.
- Post statistics for our own posts, as returned by the platforms' APIs (aggregated counts; no information that identifies individual viewers).
- Our own content: the videos, captions and scripts we create.
We do not sell data, run ads with it, or share it with anyone except as needed to publish (below).
Services we use
- Instagram / Meta: we publish Reels to our own account through the Instagram API. To do that, a video file is placed briefly on a private-link file host (Cloudflare R2) so Instagram can fetch it, then deleted, normally within minutes and always within 24 hours.
- YouTube API Services: we upload videos to our own channel and read their statistics. By using our YouTube features you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service; Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
- TikTok: we upload videos to our own account's drafts through the TikTok Content Posting API.
Retention and deletion
Post statistics are kept while they are useful for our analysis and deleted on request. Tokens are deleted when we disconnect an account. You can revoke our app's access to an account at any time: Google at myaccount.google.com/permissions, Instagram under Settings > Website permissions > Apps and websites, and TikTok under Settings > Security > Manage app permissions. See also data deletion.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR) you can ask what personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Email will@stratumstudio.co.uk; we reply within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Changes
We will update this page if our software starts processing data differently, and change the date above.
